WELCOME TO MY BLOG! *Throws confetti*

On this here Tumblr you shall find fandoms including (but not limited to) Supernatural, Doctor Who, Sherlock, Merlin, danisnotonfire & AmazingPhil, Cornetto Trilogy and the recently acquired Hannibal. Plus equal rights posts and ones that appeal to my terrible sense of humour.
I follow back similar blogs (If I don't follow back, it's nothing personal <3)
Have some tea, and pie while you stay. No, the pie doesn't contain human meat... I don't know what you're talking about...

is anyone going to tell him there are no blades on that lawnmower

But he’s so happy

OH MY GOD!  I never noticed that before, but I always wondered why he offered to mow a lawn that clearly didn’t need to be mowed, but the bladeless mower makes it all a little clearer.  It’s a joke on him, played by his own brain.  The whole place is nothing but a fantasy triggered by the Djinn and since he’s hasn’t had a home in over two decades, he doesn’t really have much of a frame of reference for it.  But he’s built up an ideal of what that family home would look like, tacked together from bits he’s seen on television and from families he’s met over the years.  His brain says this is his family’s home and a home has a lawn that need to be mowed.  So he says the lawn needs to be mowed and he mows it (but with a mower that can do nothing), to be helpful.

But the lawn doesn’t need to be mowed.  His mother didn’t need his help.  His brother could hardly disguise his dislike for Dean.  Because even in Dean’s head, “…the truth is they don’t need you.  Not like you need them” (1x22).  And that pointless lawn mowing is just his own brain mocking him, telling him he’s useless.

(INDIGNANT HUFFING) NOT ALL M……ale lions

the more i think about it, the weirder this comment seems. how does this man know that being a male lion is more stressful than being a female lion. has he lived as both a female and male lion before. is this man an Animorph

as a big cat fanatic and a zoo veteran:
male lions are lazy fucks. they CHOOSE to fight cos they’re BORED.

As a professional Ethologist who specializes in apex predator and primate behavior, I can fully support this lazy lion notion.See this gorgeous guy?
This is Zero, the most photographed lion in National Geographic history (so I’ve been told). While his huge frame and two-toned mane make him an intimidating sight, he is essentially the biggest baby I observed while in South Africa.
You would hear these deep roaring moans echo across the reserve… and it was Zero, whining for the girls (Maggie and Lisa) to bring him food. The lazy bum would just roll around in the river bed moaning and groaning until the females would show up with a kill.
Sure, he could fight if there happened to be a rival male in the area. And his ‘mock charge’ display was intimidating enough to keep just about everyone* out of his way… but 99% of the time this guy was all about moaning (for food), mating, and mane-flips.
* - The only animal not run off by Zero’s display was a honey badger, who - true to form - did not care.

That is one ridiculously photogenic lion.

HOLY WHAT

MY MIND HAS BEEN BLOWN

THAT NEVER HAPPENS WITH HARRY POTTER

ESPECIALLY NOT WITH MINERVA MCGONAGALL

OMFG MY WHOLE LIFE IS WHAT

WHAT WHAT WHAT

Oh my god, she was GORGEOUS.

WAIT WHAT WHAT’S GOING ON

If y’all ever thought Minerva was anything short of stunning when she was young, you have been fooled. This witch was a heart breaker, and could spell circles around anyone. Brains and beauty with that lovely lady.

"You’re 6’4", 240-pound Marine, and you’re injured, and you need a Marine next to you to carry you back to safety, and the Marine next to you is a 5’4" woman who weighs 115 pounds,"

No problem.

in before “well most women can’t do that” because NEWS FLASH most men can’t either, that’s why it’s a highly specialized career that requires a lot of devoted training

One of my former coworkers was a very slim girl only a tad taller than me, and she was training to be a fireman, and she could lift the biggest dude on my crew like this who was around 6’5 and super bulky. One time she picked him up and ran around the crew room with him for about 5 minutes before letting him down.

Even though I haven’t exercised in over a year—if you count DDR—and I’m incredibly petite (5’0”, 100 lbs), I can carry most guys. If they’re under 200 lbs, I can run with them on my back for 5 blocks, but I can walk for a mile. Once they’re about 250, I can only walk about a block or two before my spine feels like it’s about to break. If I were in a survival situation and their life depended on it, I could go on much further, until my legs gave out.
It’s why I hate the bullshit that women are inherently weak. Nah, man. Nah.

More power to you all because I can barely lift my five year old nephew without hating myself ten minutes later….

People have done studies of the military that demonstrate that with the same training for the same length of time, both men and women can achieve the same fitness level. They can carry as much, run as far, shoot as well, you name it. The idea that women are weaker than men is a total myth, and one that that the patriarchy is desperate to make us believe. (I wish I could give you a source for this but it’s been a while since I read it)
